Another place you can go for information is the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety. They have information and fact sheets on their website. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is a Canada-wide system designed to give employers and workers information about hazardous materials used in the workplace.
Ontario Occupational Health and Safety
The Occupational Health and Safety Act sets out the rights and duties of all parties in the workplace. It establishes procedures for dealing with workplace hazards and it provides for enforcement of the law where compliance has not been achieved voluntarily by workplace parties.
